Picture-In-Picture for YouTube is Coming to All IOS 15 Apple Devices in the Next Few Days

You’ll soon have YouTube picture-in-picture on your Apple device if you don’t already have it. PiP should be available “in a matter of days” on all devices running iOS 15 or later, according to YouTube. This app, like others that support PiP on iOS, allows you to retain a floating video window pinned to your screen while you switch your focus to other tasks.

It’s taken a long time for this feature to appear. PiP was first made available to Premium customers in June of last year, with plans to eventually make it available to all viewers. Shortly after Apple enabled PiP with iOS 14, some users discovered workarounds (such as leveraging the mobile website), however, that functionality quickly vanished.

When Disney+, Netflix, Twitch, and others introduced PiP within months, YouTube remained late. Nonetheless, it is a significant upgrade. You won’t have to use the YouTube app to catch up on your video playlist, and using the service as a jukebox without a YouTube Music subscription should be significantly easier.

Are you using an iOS smartphone? If so, the Picture-in-Picture feature is still rolling out & will be available in a matter of days across all iOS 15+ devices.
